Artist Statement/About
Meena Kamal born on Sept 5th 1968 in Meerut city -India. She is a prolific international artist, patron of Bombay Art Society -India , who chased her passion, conquering her physical disabilities. Her paintings will trigger the subconscious mind of the viewers to de -stress and experience blissfulness. Juxtaposed with philosophy and hope, she paints in oil on linen/canvas, mixed media on archival paper and wooden panels.
Her landscapes depict her enduring journey and experiences in geometric, organic shapes with tactile texture in meditative color palette. Moods and cultural mosaics inspire her to spend her time at her artistic and diverse landscape abodes in San Francisco - California, Dubai in U.A.E. and Delhi, Mumbai in India. Spiritual influence reflects intensely in her abstractions. Her paintings continuously evolve during the process of creation. The level of abstraction is determined by the level of spontaneity and the intuition in each painting.
